Health
is the condition of our body and mind and Hygiene refers to the conditions and practices that help to
maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases. Medical hygiene therefore
includes a specific set of practices associated with this preservation of
health, for example environmental cleaning, sterilization of equipment, hand
hygiene, water and sanitation and safe disposal of medical waste. So, both
Health and Hygiene are complementary. Good health means healthy body free from
diseases. Without good health, we cannot do any work and we cannot improve in
life. So, good health is the primary need for every one of us. It is essential
for everyone to lead a happy life. That’s why to keep our health well, we
should abide by the laws of hygiene. The
elements of hygiene like good food, exercise, rest and sleep, regular habits,
neatness and cleanliness, are the primary conditions for good health. Hence, we
should eat healthy food and take a balance diet. Taking excess of a single type
of food may also cause various problems. Every day we should take exercise
regularly in time. We should let fresh air and light into our houses. We should
be punctual in all our daily duties. Peace of mind is another condition for
good health. So, we should not worry over small things of life. Labour must be
followed by rest. We must not keep late hours. So, to keep a health healthy, it
is very necessary to follow the conditions of hygiene. However it can be noted
that the health obtaining by following the conditions of hygiene, one can lead
a sound, happy and healthy extended life
